NovaStar makes the control electronics — sending devices, receiving cards and video processors — behind LED walls from countless panel brands. On a perimeter installation this means your band's panels may carry any label, while the signal chain runs through NovaStar hardware. The question venues then ask: what software do we run the actual sponsor show with?
The short answer: any NovaStar processor takes a standard video input (HDMI/DVI). LedPlayMeter plays the band full-screen on the PC wired to that input; the controller captures and maps it. The content layer needs no NovaStar-specific integration.
The chain on a NovaStar-driven band

- Commissioning (once): the integrator configures screen topology and calibration with NovaStar's own tools, defining the input resolution the controller expects.
- Every event after: the playout PC outputs at that resolution; LedPlayMeter renders the band's exact pixel map inside it and runs the show. The controller does not know or care that a playlist engine is behind its input — it sees video.
What the software layer adds

- Playlists, scenes and quick actions — the rotation loops; goals and time-outs cut in with one click and return.
- Live brightness and ticker without stopping playback.

Division of labour with NovaStar tools
NovaStar's software family exists to configure and monitor the hardware chain. It is essential at install time and for diagnostics — and it is not a match-day content tool. The playout software owns that layer, brand-independently, as explained in software vs. hardware controllers.
