Kazo Vision sells a complete perimeter system — control hardware, an Editor and Players — and it is a common choice when the LED band is bought new. Kazo Vision is a display and sports-technology company whose LED Perimeter System (product name “Zither”) is described by the vendor as “a synchronous video playback system … special for LED perimeter screen”. It consists of a perimeter control unit that sits between a conventional LED controller card and an ultra-long band, an Editor application in which playlists and zones are built, and Player software on the computers that feed the screens. The vendor lists playlist pause/resume “without picture shaking”, insert-play of sponsor content during special events with automatic resume, scrolling text, cabinet grouping for synchronous playback, and linkage with its own Ultra Score scoring system.
That is a coherent package when the band, the control hardware and the software are bought together. The question this page answers is what changes when they are not — when a venue already has panels and a processor from another vendor, or wants the content workflow to survive a hardware change.
Two delivery models
The difference is not a feature list; it is how the product is delivered. Kazo Vision’s system is a bundled solution: its playout software is designed around its own perimeter control hardware, and the two are installed together. When Kazo Vision is the right choice
If you are buying the band new and want one supplier for cabinets, control hardware, scoring and playout, a bundled system is the simplest procurement: one vendor, one support line, components that were designed together. Venues that already run Kazo’s Ultra Score scoring system gain a native link between score and band. In a bundled purchase the software is not the deciding factor — the panel and controller offer are.
When LedPlayMeter is the right choice
Choose software-only playout when the hardware layer already exists or is chosen on its own merits. The typical cases: a venue whose panels and processor were installed by a different vendor and now needs a proper sponsor workflow; an integrator standardising one operator interface across grounds with mixed hardware; a rights holder who needs proof of play per sponsor after every match; or an operations team that wants match-day control from a browser and a tablet rather than a desktop editor.

Running LedPlayMeter on an existing perimeter system
Nothing in the hardware layer changes. The LED processor keeps its calibration and pixel map. The match-day PC that produces the video signal runs LedPlayMeter; you describe the band once — module size, cabinet count, whether it wraps to a second row — and every uploaded video or image is fitted to that geometry automatically. Is LedPlayMeter compatible with Kazo Vision perimeter hardware?
LedPlayMeter outputs a standard full-screen video signal. Any perimeter control chain that accepts an HDMI or SDI video input can display it — the software does not depend on the brand of the controller or the cabinets. Confirm the input options of your specific control unit with your installer.
Do I lose live scoring if I move to software-only playout?
LedPlayMeter does not include a scoreboard link. Match moments — goal, substitution, time-out — run as one-click quick-action scenes. If a native score feed on the band is essential, that is a point in favour of a bundled system.
Why is proof of play important when comparing perimeter software?
The perimeter is sold inventory. Sponsors buy a number of exposures and expect evidence. A per-exposure log with timestamps, exported per sponsor, turns match-day playback into a deliverable the commercial team can invoice against.
